VerbVault is a language learning workspace for serious self-study learners. It is operated by an individual seller trading as VerbVault, based in India. For any privacy-related queries, contact us at hello@verbvault.app.
What Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service.
- Account data: your name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google profile ID and avatar URL.
- Content data: vocabulary lists, sentences, dialogs, grammar notes, songs, documents, and other study materials you add to VerbVault. This data belongs to you.
- Usage data: your subscription status, trial start date, and last login time. Used to enforce plan limits and display your account status.
- Payment data: billing region (India or Global). We do not store payment card details — all payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy (see Section 5).
- Analytics data: anonymous page view data collected by Google Analytics (see Section 6). No personally identifiable data is included.
How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account
- To store and display your language study content
- To enforce free tier limits and manage your subscription status
- To send transactional emails (account creation, subscription confirmation) — no marketing emails without explicit consent
- To improve the product based on anonymous usage patterns
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Google OAuth
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, Google profile ID, and profile picture URL from Google. We use this only to create and identify your VerbVault account. We do not receive access to your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google service.
Google's privacy policy applies to the sign-in process: policies.google.com/privacy.
Payments — Lemon Squeezy
All payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record for VerbVault subscriptions. When you subscribe, you interact directly with Lemon Squeezy's checkout. VerbVault does not see or store your payment card details.
Lemon Squeezy collects and remits applicable taxes (including VAT and GST) for international transactions on our behalf.

Analytics — Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the VerbVault landing page. This collects anonymous data such as page views, session duration, and referral source. No personally identifiable information is included. IP addresses are anonymised.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a secure cloud database and our application is hosted on cloud infrastructure. All providers we use maintain industry-standard security practices.
We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Google sign-in users have no password stored.
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Data Retention
We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data and study content within 30 days.
Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it contains no personally identifiable information.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your study content (available via Excel download within the app)

Cookies
VerbVault uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not track you across other websites.
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. These are analytics cookies only — no advertising or tracking cookies are used on verbvault.app or app.verbvault.app.
Children's Privacy
VerbVault is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@verbvault.app and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of VerbVault after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
For significant changes, we will notify you by email if you have an account with us.
